Feedback from presentations

" My students will be talking about this all year. I highly recommend it. They were shaking with excitement and had a million questions for them, and really enjoyed the one-on-one time with them after the presentation"
Teacher Ray Kalynuk, Churchill Alternative School, Ottawa

" Tell Tommy he was a star!!!!!  Your books have been cataloged in our library and the librarian told me they were all signed out yesterday!"
Teacher Elise Lalonde, St. Brigid Catholic School, Ottawa

" Thank you!!!  I have had wonderful feedback today about the assembly.  The kids are all still talking about it and several parents came to tell me today that Melanie and Tommy were the talk around their dinner table last night.  One mom came to tell me today that her daughter told her that it is important to accept all people, even if they appear different.  You should be very proud of the work that you and the kids do, you are making a difference."
Teacher Johanne  O'Connor, South Branch Elementary School, Kanata

"  I have been lucky enough in my career to have met a number of amazing people.  You and your family are definitely on this list.  I don't know if I was able to convey to you the truly inspiring feelings I, and my school, have for you.  We are truly blessed for having had the opportunity to hear your story.  As the book mentions, we are a better world for having you and your family in it."
Principal Andrew Nordman, Manotick Public School

" It was one of the most inspiring events I have ever witnessed! Your wonderful, courageous kids, mesmerized the audience and offered their important message with such naturalness, warmth and humor! They were simply irresistible and everybody in the room responded so enthusiastically to everything they said and did! Personally I am profoundly touched by all the miracles where positivity and goodness are created  out of pain and suffering.  It reaffirms the strength of human race and keeps burning the flame of hope for all of us! Congratulations again to Melanie and Tommy, our dedicated ambassadors of love and hope! "

Although I was not able to make it personally, I am hearing very good  things about a program last week which involved  Herzliah High School and Talmud Torah. They  were treated to what is being described as "an extraordinary and most memorable presentation" from 10-year old author Tommy Glatzmayer. “This program was really inspiring and touching”, states  student Hannah Kalin,. “Everyone in our audience was fascinated by this story and by their pet rats.  I think Tommy and Melanie’s positive attitude profoundly touched my classmates. They will be talking about this event for a long time.”

I just wanted to thank you again for a great visit last Monday. The feedback from the staff and students was very positive. Everyone was particularly impressed with how well-spoken your son (Tommy) is!
I spent the week doing follow-up activities with some of my groups: all of which remembered the take away points very well. I also wanted to let you know that my grade 6 students are preparing a project based on the themes they (Tommy and Melanie) presented. So we're hoping to continue their work in our school. Thanks again so much. What you're doing is amazing!
Teacher Maria Sansalone, Augustin Roscelli School, Montreal

Every now and then, someone in the community steps up to lead by example, inspiring others along the way. Twelve-year-old Tommy has inspired and influenced more people than most will in a lifetime.
